ASMART Solutions is a creative team that specializes in Custom Web Design and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  In our SEO process we offer website analysis, potential result evaluation, keyword research and analysis, on-page optimization, off-page optimization (Link building campaign) for sites of our clients.

Our SEO process enables your site to rank well in Search Engine Result Pages (SERP’s). Ranking well in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERP’s) for specific keywords is one major way of getting targeted traffic to your site. However once your site ranks well is not the end of the SEO process, our SEO process incorporates SEO monitoring and tracking as we know that SEO is ideally an ongoing process.  Once your site obtains that coveted spot in Ranking well in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERP’s)  then  it’s time to track your SEO progress and monitor your ranking.Below are major reasons that should make you recognize that SEO monitoring and tracking is a must-do activity and an ongoing process;

  • Thousands of new sites are coming online on a daily basis and they are aware of the SEO process
  • More sites are incorporating and willing to spend on the latest SEO techniques and tools.
  • Search engines are always updating their search algorithm and other mechanisms thus devaluing methods that used to work well in the past.
  • Search engines are becoming more aggressive in punishing sites that incorporate ‘black hat’ techniques and spammers. This has lead to sometime unfairly punishing sites that are thought to be using ‘black hat’ techniques.

The big question now is, what to monitor? Consider this, at first most of your traffic will be coming from directly typed keywords in Search Engines (that is if your site is ranking top 20). By using log file analyzers, traffic analyzer programs, web analtics software such as Goggle Analytics (GA) and services for monitoring traffic for you site we are able to come up with a list detailing how much traffic in terms of percentage each Search Engine brought to your site. In most case Goggle will be at the top of the list.

In our SEO monitoring and tracking process, we provide a detailed analysis that depicts a list of websites also know as ‘referrals’ indicating which websites brought traffic to your site and also ‘direct’ which indicates the amount of traffic that came from typed keywords in a search engine. Another way of tracking visitors that have bookmarked is to create a favicon file; a favicon is graphic displayed when a user bookmarks a website. This favicon file is in your root directory server and we are able to track visitors who have bookmarked your site.

This is information is really important as it will guide us where to concentrate our efforts on which is either to increase our link building campaign effort or concentrate on improving your site’s rankings.

The next thing to monitor is keywords; At Asmart Solutions we obtain a great deal of information from log file analyzers, traffic analyzer programs, web analytics software such as Goggle Analytics (GA)  and services for monitoring traffic for your site that details the exact keywords used by visitors to get to your site. We spend a great deal of time determining which search terms visitors used to find your site. We may uncover new keyword combinations that we didn’t think of using when we were doing the keyword research and analysis process. If this is the case, we tweak your site or create a new page around this phrase accordingly to maximize on this ranking opportunity.

  • Page Views: This is the most viewed or popular pages on your site. This is useful for determining where visitors are spending their time on your site.
  • Click Path or Visitor Path: This shows the actual path that a visitor took while browsing through your site. This is great for determining what visitors are looking for.
  • Exit Pages: These represent the last pages that a visitor views before leaving your site. Hopefully it is your sales page and not your home page.
  • Length of Session: This shows how long visitors spend on each page and on your site in general. Are people leaving your site too fast? Try to find out why

Monitor your PageRank (PR) by downloading and installing the Goggle toolbar. A good PR i.e. PR 5 + is excellent and will likely have an impact in your ranking but bear in mind that contrary to the popular belief PR is one of the many factors that influences your site’s ranking and sometimes it can be inaccurate but it’s better than nothing at all. PR scale ranges from 0 to 10 and due to the logarithmic nature of PR there are wide gulfs between ranges at the upper end.

We Check if all your pages have been indexed especially after making some changes on your site. This can be achieved by typing your website’s URL in the search box. Also we manage you link popularity by checking the number of your inbound links and that of your competitors buy for example typing ‘link: www. asmartsolutions.com’ in the Search Engine’s search box. This can help you know who is linking to you and who is linking to your competitor and ultimately incorporate some strategy in increasing link popularity. Some experts suggest the use of Yahoo in determine the number of your links as it is known to be more accurate than other search engines.

In conclusion at ASMART Solutions our main focus is monitoring and reviewing your site’s performance for the sole purpose of increasing your site’s sales conversion, return on Investment (ROI) and converting visitors to potential customers.
