Typography

Have you seen websites with more than one font in a single page? How do you feel? People tend to group together objects that look the same so if you are stressing a point and want people to be convinced by what you’re trying to convey then use uniform fonts. Font size is sometimes unimportant for as long as the fonts are the same.

Color Contrast

Only choose font color with high contrast with the background. Black fonts have high contrast with white or blue background. Notice that you won’t experience reading red and black fonts color in blue background because the former have high contrast with their background. Try it for yourself.

You never want to strain the eyes of your visitors so settle with high contrast font color in relation to their background.

Spacing could be another issue because you’ll need to consider that the general public is moving away from smaller screen resolutions. Almost everyone are purchasing 15” computer monitors on average and with minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 so there are spaces you can work with.

Keep up with the Joneses

Make sure that you are moving away from old tech stuff and start implementing newer methodologies or standards on the web. If the web is moving towards HTML5 go ahead and prepare your site to become compatible with it or at least reprogrammed to suit the web’s newer standards.
